As promised, EA Sports did not disappoint the players of its soccer game franchise. Today, the official gameplay trailer for FIFA 22 – a new installment that will be released this fall – has been published.
The teaser reveals the gameplay of the upcoming FIFA 22 game for the first time. We’d already seen movies about the game, but we hadn’t seen how HyperMotion, a new technology added this year, impacted the gameplay experience.
Match sequences, new animations, goals, celebrations, ball physics, responses, new goalie characteristics, and more can be seen in the new gameplay clip.
A new era for FIFA
Both fans of the brand and EA Sports wanted the next version of the game to be more true to reality. Thus the team behind the game concentrated on key areas that were still lacking in the FIFA franchise.
After a long period of development, all the new features of this new version of the game revolve around a technology called HyperMotion, which is responsible for improved aspects such as the authenticity of the entire team’s movement, a flow of automatic learning, a more tactical artificial intelligence, more physical aerial ball disputes, improved ball control, and more human players.
Of course, much of this collection of improvements will only be available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia users. Thanks to the technology behind these platforms, all the technology used by HyperMotion can be utilized in the next-gen version of the game.
But where is PC? Electronic Arts has already confirmed that these three editions will be the only ones compatible with this jump, something that has especially annoyed PC players who will have to play the limited version that will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
On Nintendo Switch, as has been the case in recent years, the version that will be released will be a Legacy Edition, which means that it will only be a template update. In addition, those players who bought the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions and wish to make the jump to next-gen, unless they bought the Ultimate Edition in the first place, will have to pay for the game again.
FIFA 22 will be released on October 1 for Xbox One, Xbox X Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. Pre-orders are open on Amazon.
