Similar to Trinity Seeker, the first boss of Delubrum Reginae, Trinity Avowed will utilize three weapons that she will periodically swap between. Additionally, she will employ mechanics that will have you changing your temperature. Let's take a look at each of Trinity Avowed's attacks and mechanics, and how you can avoid them.

Trinity Avowed Walkthrough

Trinity Avowed is the fifth boss in Delubrum Reginae and will employ three sets of attacks, depending on which weapon she has equipped. Below are first her basic attacks that are used throughout the fight, then each of her weapon-based attacks.

  • Glory of Bozja: This attack deals unavoidable damage to all party members. Heal and apply shields as necessary. After Trinity Avowed casts this ability for the first time, the edge of the arena will transform into a death zone, which will instantly kill any player who enters it.
  • Wrath of Bozja: Trinity Avowed will target the main Tank with a red marker and deal high damage in a cone-shaped AoE that reaches the edge of the arena. Make sure the main Tank is facing the boss away from the rest of the party to avoid unnecessary damage.
  • Unseen Eye: Trinity Avowed will spawn untargetable copies of the Trinity Seeker on the edges of the arena. After a short delay, each Trinity Seeker will attack in a straight line down the arena, creating a criss-cross pattern when intersecting with other line AoEs. Dodge this attack by paying attention to where the Trinity Seekers are and moving accordingly.

Allegiant Arsenal

Throughout the fight, Trinity Avowed will use Allegiant Arsenal to equip three different types of weapons, which will change certain attacks. The boss will use one of the following attacks as soon as it changes weapons.

  • Bow – Flashvane: This attack will deal damage in a wide 270-degree shape in front of the boss, leaving only a small cone behind the boss safe. If Trinity Avowed equips a bow, run behind it to avoid this attack.
  • Sword & Shield – Infernal Slash: This attack will deal damage in a wide 270-degree shape behind the boss, leaving a small safe spot in front of the boss. If Trinity Avowed equips a sword and shield, run in front of it to avoid this attack.
  • Staff – Fury of Bozja: This attack deals damage in a small circle centered on the boss. If Trinity Avowed equips the bow, immediately move away from it.

Additionally, Trinity Avowed will use different attacks during the next part of the fight depending on which weapon is equipped.

Hot & Cold

This is the main mechanic of this fight and will occur frequently throughout the duration of your battle with Trinity Avowed. When the boss casts Hot & Cold, every player will be assigned a temperature and level, indicated by the temperature bar that will appear over your character's head. You will either be hot or cold, and either level one or level two. To deal with this mechanic, you need to return your body to normal temperature through various methods. Players who have an uneven temperature after each specific mechanic ends will be instantly killed.

To do this, you will need to balance out your temperature. For example, if your temperature is set to Cold +1, you will need to be hit with a Fire +1 attack to balance it. How you go about balancing it depends on the current attacks Trinity Avowed is using, as well as what weapon she currently has equipped.

  • Freedom of Bozja: Trinity Avowed will cast a proximity-based AoE marker at each corner of the arena. Group up with the rest of the party in the center to avoid most of the damage of this attack.

    • After the AoE goes off, two sets (each) of fire orbs and ice orbs will remain in each corner. These orbs will begin charging an AoE of roughly the same size as the proximity-based AoE from Freedom of Bozja. You will need to stand in one of the AoEs, corresponding to the opposite of your temperature.
    • Trinity Avowed will only use this attack when the staff is equipped.

  • Flames of Bozja: Trinity Avowed will begin casting an attack with an AoE marker that covers most of the arena. There will be a small horizontal safe zone at the southern edge of the arena that you will need to run towards. After this cast finishes, the unsafe part of the arena will have circuit-board-like patterns running from the north to south edges. Then, four arrows will spawn at the north edge, two of fire and two of ice.

    • Next, a line will be traced between each arrow and a destination on the south edge, where you are currently standing. You will need to first find which arrow will normalize your temperature, then memorize the path it will take. Once you have done so, stand in the corresponding spot on the south edge and get hit with the arrow. If done correctly, your temperature should return to normal.
    • Trinity Avowed will only use this attack when the bow is equipped.
  • Blades of Entropy: Trinity Avowed will attack with four consecutive slashes to either its left or right. Before each slash, it will infuse the blade it intends to use with either fire or ice. To normalize your temperature, you will need to be hit with the Blade of Entropy that is the opposite element of your current temperature.

    • Trinity Avowed will only use this attack when the sword and shield are equipped.

As the fight progresses, you will need to deal with higher temperatures. There is a chance your temperature will be set to level 2, in which case you will need to normalize it with an attack of level 2. For example, during Freedom of Bozja, if your temperature is set to Cold +2, you will need to stand in the AoE of the Fire +2 Orb. This orb will appear slightly larger than the level 1 versions.

Additionally, during Flames of Bozja, level 2 arrows will appear that have a slightly bigger and flashier appearance.
