Ghost of Tsushima adds more free new DLC to PS4 and PS5

As promised, Sucker Punch has dropped more free DLC for Ghost of Tsushima on PS4 and PS5. The inFamous and Sly Raccoon developer added a new map to Ghost of Tsushima’s new online “Rivals” mode.

Players will now be able to face-off against their foes in The Arena of Shadows when they next play. Unlike Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, Rivals has a competitive twist. In each match, two teams of two race against each other in taking down hordes of Oni, collecting Magamata as they go. This ethereal currency can be cashed in at shrines, lobbing distractions and curses in the way of your opponents.

Once enough Magamata has been cashed in by a team, they move onto the final phase. They will need to defend a control point against three weaves of demons that gradually get tougher.

Ghost of Tsushima Rivals can be played in bronze, silver, gold, and nightmare difficulty. It’s another excellent reason to play this must-have PlayStation exclusive. You can access it for free via the base game or Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut on PS4 and PS5. Legends also released as its own standalone game.
