Ghost of Tsushima: All Archery Challenge Locations (& How To Complete Them)

With the release of the Ghost of Tsushima DLC called Iki Island, players can now access a whole new map that is filled with new collectibles to find. Some of these new collectibles come in the form of charms. These offer a way to increase Jin's capabilities, and make him an even deadlier force for the Mongols to deal with.

One of these charms, the Charm of Concentration, can be unlocked by completing the new archery challenges. Completing all of the archery challenges is also how players unlock one of the new trophies for Ghost of Tsushima, Pride of Ishikawa. Finding and completing all of the challenges, though, isn't necessarily the easiest task. Here's how players can accomplish this feat.

What Are Archery Challenges & How To Complete Them

Archery challenges are exactly what they sound like: a challenge of a player's archery skills. Each archery challenge is timed and rewards a player for completing it within a maximum of 22 seconds. There are three tiers to each challenge, Bronze, Silver, and Gold, which correspond to different times:

  • Bronze: achieved when a player completes the challenge within 15-22 seconds
  • Silver: between 7-15 seconds
  • Gold: 7 seconds or less

When starting the challenge, it is best to take aim at the farthest paper lantern since it will be the hardest to hit. Players will then need to hit each paper lantern within the time limit. To make things easier, players should equip the Tadayori armor set and use concentration to slow down time.

Once one challenge has been completed with at least a Bronze award, players will receive the Charm of Concentration. For each subsequent challenge that they complete, players will be rewarded with an upgrade to their Charm of Concentration. Players will most likely not be able to achieve Gold during their first time at each challenge, but once the charm is upgraded a bit, things will become easier.

Raider's Promontory

Near where players first land on Iki Island, they can travel north to find an an archery challenge . On the farthest north area of the map, players will cross a small water area to the Raider's Promontory. To reach this archery challenge, players will need to use the grappling hook points and climb their way over to it.

East Of Lone Spirit Falls

Another archery challenge that is close to where players first appear on Iki Island is just east of Lone Spirit Falls. This is likely the first archery challenge that players will come across.

This location is also southwest of Sly Hunter's Forest. No matter what archery challenge players first come across, the raiders there will tell them the rules so they can get accustomed to the new challenges.

Yahata Forest

This archery challenge is located in the southern portion of Yahata Forest, near Zasho River. Yahata Forest is on the easter side of Iki Island, southeast of Tatsu's Ladder. In this challenge, players must shoot paper lanterns out of the trees in the forest.

Zasho River

Almost directly west of the Yahata Forest archery challenge is the Zasho River challenge. This challenge is along the river and can easily be found by following the river from the lake in the Tatsu's Ladder area. This location is directly north of Senjo Gorge. Players will be shooting targets along the riverbank.

Kidafure Battlefield

Players will recognize Kidafure Battlefield from the lush moss covering the various decaying homes. This area was once home to a large battle between the raiders and samurai during Jin's childhood.

Now it is home to another archery challenge. It is located on the western part of Iki Island, northwest of Lake Nagata, and southwest of Old Gambler's Wood.

Northwest of Saruiwa

Following the western shore of Iki Island to the south, players will reach Sarubashi. A little farther southwest is where this next archery challenge can be found. It is also located northwest of Saruiwa (the area where players can climb the large mountain for an animal sanctuary).

Between Senjo Gorge & Weeping Mother's Meadow

Players can find this archery challenge on the edge of Senjo Gorge. It is on the outskirts and close to being around Weeping Mother's Meadow. This area is also southwest of the Forest Cloud Temple. As players shoot the targets here, they will get a lovely view of the purple blossomed trees of Senjo Gorge.

Raider Memorial

In the southernmost part of Iki Island, players can find the Raider Memorial. This location is perhaps the last archery challenge that players will come across and is the only one that requires certain actions to unlock. The raiders created this memorial for those who died at the hands of Tadayori Nagao.

To unlock this challenge, players need to don the armor of Tadayori and talk to the raider at the gravesite. He will then set up the archery challenge for players to attempt.
