Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut is almost here, and with it fans will get a ton of new content for the game. Not only will the official PS5 version be available, but they will also be able to visit Iki Island and continue their fight against tyranny. In celebration of the imminent release of the expansion, Sucker Punch has shared a launch trailer for the Director's Cut. While it shows off a few moments from the base game's story, it focuses heavily on the beautiful and stunning landscape of Iki Island.
The trailer itself is fairly short, lasting only one minute, but it has not failed to capture the excitement of fans. Veterans of the game will recognize certain scenes and locations, but there are plenty of new things to see coming with the Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut.

The launch trailer starts out with Jin in his broken armor right after he reclaims the sword of Clan Sakai but quickly transitions into gameplay. Jin can be seen dueling enemies, riding around the islands of Tsushima and Ikishima, and even petting a cat. It also showcases Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, the multiplayer expansion that is getting more content and a standalone release alongside the Director's Cut. The new version is looking to be every bit as gorgeous and immersive as the original, and those playing on PS5 will even get the benefit of having haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Players that already own Ghost of Tsushima can upgrade to the PS4 version of the Director's Cut for around $20. Due to the premium price of the PS5 version of Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut, this figure is a bit different when upgrading consoles, and players can expect to pay around $30 for this instead. It is also possible to upgrade from the PS4 Director's Cut to the PS5 Director's Cut for around $10, a helpful option for those that haven't managed to get a PS5 just yet. This may seem a bit pricey, but it's definitely worth it for all the new content.
The main draw of Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut is Iki Island, a new region to explore full of quests, collectibles, and more. There are also many minor improvements, upgrades to the combat system, a better photo mode, and the ability to hide Jin's quiver. This is on top of all the free updates that have come to the game since launch, bringing with them a New Game+ and the multiplayer mode, Legends.
Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut releases on August 20th for PS4 and PS5.
