Halo Infinite Beta Starts Tomorrow

Halo Infinite’s technical multiplayer beta begins tomorrow, according to 343 Industries. The closed beta test will run from July 29 to August 1, with a livestream today at 2 PM PST (5 PM EST) going into greater detail on what Halo Insiders can expect.

Invitations should be on their way for Halo Insiders, however, not everyone could make it into the technical beta. 343 community director Brian Jarrard outlined the selection process over on Twitter.

"We have a large total # target we need to hit to reach our goals," wrote Jarrard. "Then we look for valid insider profiles (verified email, opted in to comms, DXDIAG for PC, etc.) and ensure we have a good breadth of platforms (Xbox One, Series X/S, and different PC configurations).

"Then we go by tenure, prioritizing longer standing Insiders and going down the list until we've hit our total audience size. Then we blast out emails as an initial confirmation/heads-up."

Last we checked in with Jarrard, he said that "six figures worth" of Halo Insiders wouldn't qualify for the beta due to incomplete profiles. Hopefully, people were able to complete their applications last week ahead of these invitations being sent out.

There's still a chance that you're invited even if you didn't receive an email. Jarrard advises Insiders to check their spam folders and email filters, but also to check the Waypoint message system to see if your invitation is there.

And if you didn’t get an invite, don’t despair. "I understand it's disappointing (heck, I NEVER get into closed 'betas' and the like) but we are planning for future flights that are larger in scope with even more Insiders being invited," Jarrard added. "Please hang in there and we greatly appreciate your interest and support!"

Halo Infinite is launching later this year. The technical preview will be just for Halo Infinite’s multiplayer, with a focus on bots, arena maps, menu and battle pass UI, Academy tutorials, and the new Waypoint app for web, iOS, and Android. Expect more beta tests to come closer to Halo Infinite’s launch.
