Horizon Zero Dawn’s Aloy Is Coming To Genshin Impact

Mihoyo and Sony have both confirmed that Aloy, main gal of Horizon Zero Dawn and killer of mechanical dinosaurs everywhere, is coming to the world of Teyvat. And you won't even have to work hard to grab this limited-time 5-star character.

All you gotta do is login during the "Savior From Another World" event to obtain Aloy via in-game mail. Naturally, Sony consoles will get first crack at Aloy as she arrives in two phases.

The first phase begins after the version 2.1 update on October 13, 2021. Anyone who logs into Genshin Impact from a PS4 or PS5 during this time will automatically receive Aloy via in-game mail.

The second phase starts after the version 2.2 update on November 24, 2021. This time, anyone who logs into Genshin Impact from any platform will receive Aloy via in-game mail. Aloy will only be available for a limited time, so be sure to log in close to these dates to avoid missing out.

We have no other info regarding Aloy's Talents, stats, or anything else, but we do know that Aloy will be Cryo-based and that she'll have her signature bow with her. If we had to guess, she'll likely be sort of like the Cryo version of Amber. One wonders if Mihoyo even got Ashly Burch to provide voice lines?

We've had Genshin Impact crossover with one of Mihoyo's other games, but Aloy coming to Genshin is the first sign that Mihoyo is open to crossovers with entirely different game developers. This opens up entire worlds of possibilities for other games to appear in Genshin.

Horizon Forbidden West, Zero Dawn's sequel, is in the "final stages of development" although we still don't have a specific release date. It should be later this year, and it should also run just fine on PS4 if you haven't been able to find a PS5 just yet.
