Associate Intern | Achieved Rank 2 | Story related – cannot be missed. Earned after reaching Rank 2, which will happen during your first visit to the Motherlobe. You rank up by collecting PSI Cards, PSI Challenge Markers, Emotional Baggage and Figments. To get this as early as possible, visit the Otto Matic as soon as you can to get a free rank. |
Junior Intern | Achieved Rank 10 | Story related – cannot be missed. Earned after reaching Rank 10. You rank up by earning PSI Cards, PSI Challenge Markers, Emotional Baggage and Figments. You'll definitely get this without trying when playing the main story. |
Senior Intern | Achieved Rank 50 | Earned after reaching Rank 50. You'll likely get this whilst trying to finish the game, as long as you're aiming for some collectibles along the way. If you're looking for where to find every level's collectibles, we've got guides for every level and hub here. |
Principal Intern | Achieved Rank 100 | Earned after reaching Rank 100. There are actually 102 ranks, so this will be unlocked just before reaching 100% completion. You'll need to have found pretty much every item in the game to reach this level. If you're looking for where to find every level's collectibles, we've got guides for every level and hub here. |
Extra Credit | Upgrade your first Badge | Earned after upgrading your first badge. After ranking up, you'll be given points that you can use to upgrade your powers, which are represented by badges. The first upgrade will cost one point, and it's up to you to decide what you want to spend it on. If you're aiming for 100 percent, you'll eventually need to get them all anyway. |
Fully Upgraded A Badge | Fully upgraded a Badge | Earned after fully upgrading a badge. After ranking up, you'll be given points that you can use to upgrade your powers, which are represented by badges. Each badge has four different upgrades and will cost more points the further you upgrade, with some only unlocking at a certain rank. To get this the quickest, aim for an early power like Melee or Telekinesis. |
Unlimited Power! | Acquired all Upgrades | Earned after unlocking the final upgrade, which is "Limitless" for Clairvoyance. You can only earn this after reaching Rank 102, and it'll let you use all of your powers as much as you want. To reach Rank 102, you'll need to get every collectible in the game, which we've got a guide for here. |
Safe Cracker | Cracked all Vaults | Earned after finding every Memory Vault across the game's thirteen brain levels. Memory Vaults are one of the many collectibles found in each brain level, and contain hidden memories. We've got a guide for every memory vault in each level here. |
Figheaded | Found all Figments | Earned after finding every Figment across the game's thirteen brain levels. Figments are the hardest collectible to find, with some levels having over 200 of them. We've got each brain level's figment lists here. |
You're it! | Tagged All Emotional Baggage | Earned after tagging every Emotional Baggage across the game's thirteen brain levels. There are usually five pieces of Emotional Baggage in each level, and you'll also need to find their tag to collect them. We've got the location of every piece of Emotional Baggage and their Tags here. |
Pin Drop | Equipped Your First Pin | Earned after equipping your first Pin. Pins are optional modifiers for Raz and his abilities, and can be purchased with Psitanium from the Otto Matic. You'll be given your first pin for free after first interacting with the Otto Matic. After that, all you need to do is equip it. |
Pinhead | Equipped 3 Pins at once | Earned after equipping three Pins at once. Although you'll likely do this naturally, Pins are pretty much completely optional, and the game can be beaten without them. To get this as quickly as possible, buy the three Levitation ball colour options and equip them. At 10 Psitanium each, they're the cheapest and earliest Pins available. |
Kingpin | Purchased all Pins | Earned after buying all the Pins in the game. To do this, you're going to need a lot of Psitanium, and to be a pretty high rank in the game as some Pins don't unlock for purchase until a certain rank. One of the best ways to earn Psitanium, besides Supply Chests, is to run around the Motherlobe and use Pyrokinesis on destructible items, as they'll always drop Psitanium. You can also pull Psitanium out of the ground to quickly earn it. Make sure to get the VIP Discount Pin at Rank 50, as it'll make all items in the shop much cheaper, as well as the Psimultanium Pin at Rank 52 that'll increase how much Psitanium is dropped. |
Hiccup in the Giddyup | Recovered your Mental Energy with a Dream Fluff | Earned after using a Dream Fluff upon death. Dream Fluffs are recovery items that bring Raz back to life after he loses all of his health. The first thing you need to do is buy one from the Otto Matic for 50 Psitanium. Then, lose your health. After that, Raz will respawn and the achievement will pop. |
PSI Roller | Upgrade to the Astral Wallet | Earned after purchasing the Astral Wallet. The Astral Wallet is the second wallet upgrade Raz can buy from the Otto Matic. It costs 750 Psitanium. You'll want to do this as soon as possible to work on the "Nest Egg" achievement that has you filling the Wallet up completely. |
Fluff Nutter | Maxed out your Dream Fluff capacity | Earned after buying the second Dream Fluff upgrade. You can buy this upgrade for 750 Psitanium, and it'll increase your Dream Fluff capacity to three at a time. |
King of Pop | Maxed out your PSI Pop capacity | Earned after buying the second PSI Pop upgrade. You can buy this upgrade for 750 Psitanium. |
You Otto be in Pictures | Purchased all Otto Shot filters | Earned for purchasing all of the Otto Shot filters. The Otto Shot filters can be found in the Otto-Matic and cost 75 Psitanium each. There are 5 filters to purchase. |
Shutterbug | Take a photo with the Otto Shot | Earned after taking a photo with the Otto Shot. The Otto Shot is an optional item that can be grabbed from Otto's Lab in the Quarry. Once you've talked to him and got it, equip it by holding down the right D-pad, and then press the right bumper/R1 to take a photo with it. Don't be like me and use the console's screenshot function, you'll need to do it in-game for this to pop. |
Fine Tuning | Tuned in to a Stray Thought | Earned after using the Thought Tuner to tune into a stray thought. The Thought Tuner is an optional item that can be grabbed from Otto's Lab in the Quarry. It's essential for collecting items in the real world. Once you've got it, go straight outside the lab and equip it with the left D-pad. You'll then find the first Stray Thought right outside. Raz will usually comment when the player is near one. |
Nest Egg | Completely filled your Astral Wallet | Earned after hitting the 5000 Psitanium limit with the Astral Wallet. The Astral Wallet is the second upgrade for the Wallet, and you'll need to buy it for another achievement to try and get this one as soon as possible. The best way to earn Psitanium quickly is to equip the Psimultanium Pin that can be bought at Rank 52 as it'll increase the amount of Psitanium you can earn. Also consider equipping the VIP Discount Pin that is unlocked at Rank 50 to spend less money on items. You can then run around the Motherlobe pulling up Psitanium out of the ground and quickly get the maximum. |
Take a Lickin' | Consumed a PSI Pop to restore some mental energy | Earned after consuming a PSI Pop in battle to recover health. You'll get the opportunity to do this as early as the first level, as the game will give you a PSI Pop in one of the early encounters. Hold the down button on the D-pad to eat a PSI Pop once you've lost some health and the achievement will pop. |
Core Strength | Combined PSI Cards with a PSI Core at the Otto-Matic | Earned after creating a PSI Challenge Marker for the first time at the Otto-Matic. Simply visit the Otto-Matic for the first time and you'll be given a tutorial on how to do this, ending with the achievement popping. |
Objection! | Threw a Judge's gavel back at him | Earned after throwing a Judge's gavel at him. You'll encounter the Judge enemy during Compton's Cookoff. When fighting them, use Telekinesis to grab the gavel and then throw it right back at them. It'll deal big damage and give you the achievement. |
TK-O | TK threw an object to stun an enemy | Earned after throwing an item at an enemy with TK for the first time. You'll likely do this in the first level of the game, as you'll be told to use Telekinesis on the Censors. If not, simply throw an item at any other enemy in the game. |
Duck, Duck Goose | Found the real Panic Attack during his Phantom attack | Earned after finding the real Panic Attack during its Phantom attack. You'll encounter the Panic Attack for the first time during the Brain in a Jar level. When fighting the Panic Attack, it'll do a move where it teleports away and creates four other clones of itself before all shooting at you. When it does this, you need to shoot it with PSI Blasts to try and find the real one. To give yourself extra time, use Time Bubble on him, and then shoot each clone until you hit the real one. |
Shared Regret | TK threw a Regret's anvil at another enemy | Earned after throwing a Regret's Anvil at another enemy. You'll encounter a Regret for the first time in the game's first level. Simply use Telekinesis on it to grab the anvil, and then throw it at another enemy. If you don't get it early on, you'll encounter them throughout the game, so you'll have lots of chances. |
Pyromania | Pyro'd 3 enemies at once | Earned for setting three enemies on fire at once with Pyrokinesis. This can be done from the start of the game but gets easier when you put more points into Pyrokinesis and increase its range. Once fully upgraded, it'll be incredibly easy to set three enemies alight at once, although it's still doable from the start, you'll just need to get enemies close together. |
I'm always here for you darling! | Talk to Milla in her office | Earned after talking to Milla in her office before unlocking Green Needle Gulch. This achievement is technically missable in a playthrough, as by the end of the game Milla will move from her office to the bowling alley. Once you've got access to the Motherlobe, go to the Agents section of the building, and on the left door is Milla's office. Start talking to her and the achievement will pop. If you miss this in your playthrough, start the game again and get to the Motherlobe to see her in the office. |
Forgot My Keys | Revisited a brain through the Collective Unconscious | Earned after revisiting a brain level. This one will be hard to miss if you're going for completion, and will actually be pushed upon you once you beat Hollis' Hot Streak. All you need to do is enter the Collective Unconscious from the Brain Tumbler in Sasha's Office (later found in Green Needle Gulch as well) and go back into a level you've already visited. |
Make It Stop! | Broke all 3 Gramophones in Fatherland Follies | Earned after breaking all three gramophones in the game's final level. In this level, you'll notice there's some really annoying music playing the whole time, but you can find the gramaphones and break them. The first one is found in the first area. When the ride shuts down and Raz jumps out of his seat, look right behind you to see a door with a red light above it. Open it and follow the path to break the first gramophone. The second can be found in the second area of the ride. Go to the statue of Maligula and you'll see a door behind her. Go through the door and follow it to again find the gramophone and break it. The final gramophone is a bit harder to find. In the Whispering Rock portion of the level, before you jump off the side down to the Motherlobe structure, there's a secret door on your right, made to blend in with the wooden wall. Open it and you'll find the last Gramophone. |
Making Peace | Return to where it all started | Earned after talking to a character in Green Needle Gulch in the game's post-game state. We won't spoil the character's identity here, but simply go to Green Needle Gulch after beating the game and talk to the two characters sat in the first house (labelled Nona's house) of the hub area. |
Platinum | Unlock all Psychonauts 2 trophies | Earned after unlocking all of Psychonauts 2's trophies. Well done, intern! |
