Impressive Fan-Created Skyrim Cosplay Catches The Eye Of Bethesda

Skyrim has become the source of thousands of armor recreations and cosplay performances, but you'd be hard-pressed to find one as impressive as this. Shared on Twitter by both Bethesda Game Studios and the official Elder Scrolls account, this "dragonslayer dude" with Dragonplate armor is a visual feast.

Created by Schildwand – a cosplayer from Germany – the heavy armor set looks nearly identical to its in-game counterpart. Crafting the gear in Skyrim requires a Smithing skill of 100 and an inventory full of dragon bones. For Schildwand, no dragon bones were required – although it still took an incredible amount of time and talent.

"Fantastic Dragonborn cosplay by Schildwand," Bethesda said. "The Dragonplate armor looks amazing." From the sword and helm to gauntlets and chestplate, the recreation is surprisingly accurate.

As Skyrim gears up for yet another release, expect to see a renewed interest in its world and characters. Bethesda recently announced The Elder Scrolls 5 10th Anniversary Edition will arrive on November 11, offering more than 500 Creation Club elements and the Special Edition of the game.

There will also be a "once-in-a-lifetime" musical event on November 11 to commemorate its anniversary.

It doesn't look like Bethesda will hold a cosplay competition, but we're pretty sure Schildwand would be on the podium if it did.
