Soon You Can Play Your Pixar Movie on NVIDIA GeForce Now
Kena: Bridge of Spirits, the upcoming story-driven action/adventure indie title from Ember Lab, has been absolutely stunning in all of its trailers. Its creators have a strong background in animation and believe us, it shows. The game pays such close attention to minute facial animations and movement that it might as well be a playable Pixar movie. Fans around the world can’t wait to get their hands on this title and we’re no exception, especially in the wake of this recent announcement. Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be playable on NVIDIA GeForce Now at launch, which means that gamers can get instant access to GeForce PC performance–1080p at 60 fps–even on incompatible devices. Now that’s some excellent news.
In this game, players take on the role of Kena, a young Spirit Guide on a quest to uncover the truth of what happened to a formerly thriving abandoned village. Use your staff to traverse the environment and collect tiny companions known as the Rot to solve puzzles, disarm enemies, unlock new skills, and restore the beauty of the land. Ember Lab went to Bali in order to record the soundtrack for Kena: Bridge of Spirits, which features the work of traditional Balinese musicians.
The game’s stand-out aspect is definitely the Rot themselves. These tiny spirits are small, adorable, friendly, and happy to follow Kena around and help her out. As time passes and they grow stronger, they grow in size as well, allowing them to do more for the player. We want twenty of them to take home with us. Sadly, they probably don’t come as a pre-order bonus. We’ll have to settle with watching them scamper around on-screen Pikmin-style.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits will launch on August 24th, 2021, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
