Knockout City Superpowers Playlist Is Now Live

Knockout City's new Superpowers playlist is live, allowing players to perform seven different feats that they couldn't perform before.

Knockout City was one of the sleeper hits of 2021 when it launched back in May. A frantic take on the game of dodgeball that launched as free-to-play to hook people in. Even though you now need to pay to play Knockout City, EA has continued to support and add to the game on a regular basis. Right now, season two is in full swing and a new LTM just launched: Superpowers.

Superpowers does exactly what it says on the tin. Each time you spawn in an LTM match, you will be granted one of seven superpowers at random. Powers include x-ray vision, allowing you to see through walls to get the jump on your opponents, and double jump which, well, allows you to jump twice as high. The full list of superpowers can be found below.

  • Ballform Bounce – While in Ballform, bounce pads will Ultimate Throw you.
  • Charge-Up – Gain extra overcharge from catches and passes.
  • Tackle Strike – Tackle your opponents to deal damage.
  • Double Jump – Jump again in the air.
  • Healing Powers – Heal your hearts back over time.
  • Strength – Pick up opponents by tackling them.
  • X-Ray Vision – See and target players through walls.

The Superpowers playlist pits a team of three villains against a team of three heroes. The heroes will be helping the work of Captain KO and their sidekick, Curve Shot Kid. The dodgeball-based heroes are trying to rid Knockout City of villains who have tainted the Boba Cola supply. You will also be able to complete Hero Contracts throughout the duration of the event.

The Superpowers LTM will run until September 14 and also includes some limited-time cosmetics. All items can be bought from the in-game store so it's time to start saving up those Holobux. Elsewhere, Knockout City's movie-themed season continues, hence the addition of superheroes since there's nothing bigger in cinema than Marvel right now. No word yet on season two's length or what season three might include.
