Marvel Reveals Release Date for Hawkeye Disney+ Series Plus First Look

Disney+'s Loki may have just wrapped up and What If? is about to debut, but today we got our first look at another show set to debut on the streaming platform, Hawkeye. Not only did Entertainment Weekly reveal the first look, but they also revealed the release date and a brand new character entering the MCU – Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. Hawkeye will stream on Wednesdays beginning November 24.

Hawkeye will follow Clint Barton after the events of Avengers: Endgame as he meets Bishop – another aspiring archer. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly Jeremy Renner, who has played Clint Barton since the first Avengers film, describes Steinfeld's character as being "a big Hawkeye fan".

That's not all, Renner also revealed a bit of what the relationship between the two will look like throughout the series and what we can expect, "She has a wonderfully annoying and equally charming manner about her, because she's such a fangirl of Hawkeye. The relationship grows from that, but the biggest problem for Clint is Kate Bishop and the onslaught of problems that she brings into his life."

Kate Bishop is also a member of the soon-to-be-seen Young Avengers (whenever that debuts). Ever since Disney+ started launching their shows such as WandaVision, Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Loki we have caught glimpses of future members of the team.

We met Wanda's twin boys Billy and Tommy who go on to become Wiccan and Speed. In Falcon, we were introduced to Elijah Bradley (Patriot) and in Loki, we met Kid Loki. All of these Young Avengers have been known for a while (at least in the comic books), but to see them brought to life in the MCU is another thing. While Hawkeye finally getting a premiere date is exciting, Disney is in some hot water with Black Widow's main leading lady Scarlett Johanson.

Black Widow also recently introduced us to Yelena Belova played by Florence Pugh who could make a cameo in Hawkeye if you paid attention to the post-credit scene. Meanwhile, Loki completely set up the Multiverse – and that was only its first season. Marvel clearly has a lot of tricks up its sleeve for eager viewers and if What If? is any indication, a whole lot of interesting storylines are also on the horizon.
