Mod Gives Mass Effect’s Hanar Nips, If You’re Into That

Mass Effect has seen a surge in popularity ever since the remastered versions of the original trilogy released in the Legendary Edition. Replaying through the adventures of Commander Shepard has reaffirmed that the series is truly one of the all-time greatest sci-fi video game franchises (even if that ending is still a bit naff.)

While getting to play Mass Effect in glorious HD is the most significant benefit of the Legendary Edition, one of the more unexpected bonuses is the modding support these games have on PC. There have been a wide array of mods that allow players to fix classic glitches, add new romance options, and even turn all of the Reapers into Thomas The Tank Engine. There seems to be no limit to what Mass Effect modders are capable of doing.

And that includes giving the Hanar race nipples for some reason.

This very specific mod – obviously named Sexier Hanar – adds nipples to the gelatinous, jellyfish-esque Hanar because this is what the internet needs and wants apparently. This idea came about when a modder named Grixdale created a mod that removed nipple marks and pantie lines from a leather dress outfit for FemShep. They received backlash for this decision, so as a compromise or subtle form of revenge, they took those nipples and slapped them on the Hanar. So at least no nipples are going to waste.

Much like the modding community, it seems like Mass Effect: Legendary Edition has made everyone fall in love with Shepard and the gang all over again. It is nice to see old friends like Garrus and Wrex moving about in 60 frames per second, but it’s a bittersweet reunion since it’s likely the only piece of Mass Effect-related content we’re going to be getting for the foreseeable future. We already know that the next installment in the series isn’t due to show up at this month’s EA Play Live showcase and no real news has come out since it was announced back in December of last year.

However, if it means that we won’t wind up with another Andromeda-esque debacle, then Bioware can take all the time they need to make the next Mass Effect. After all, we have an entire remastered trilogy complete with Hanar nips to tide us over until it’s ready.
