Presented by Producer Ryozo Tsuijimoto, a new trailer and information was revealed about the game. This includes the game’s locales, monsters, and mechanics.

The Frost Islands was a nest for huge dragons, but is now a frozen land with life still hiding in various places. The new monsters include Goss Harag an oni-inspired ice-breathing Fanged Beast, that can make blades of ice and shockwwaves. The Leviathan class Mizutsune was also revealed, a creature that creates floating bubbles that slow Hunters down.

Magnamalo- revealed at its debut, was also discussed. It has hard armor, and produces a burning gas from its body. Returning monsters include Barioth, Lagombi, Khezu, Great Baggi, and Tigrex.

The Wyvern Riding mechanic revealed. Once unlocked, players can mount and control monsters for a short time after dealing enough damage via the Wirebug or aerial attacks. Players can then ram the creature into walls, or make it attack other monsters.

The characters and the home base were also discussed. Village elder Fugen, while Minoto and Hinoa both handle Village Quests and Hub Quests. Yomogi runs the Tea Shop, while Iori is the Buddy Handler, while Kogarashi deploys Meowcenaries. Rondine the trader.

These villagers and more will help during The Rampage, which will be discussed more at a later date. The base also has a training area, which can have the behavior of its training dummies and targets changed.

Finally, it was revealed that the game’s demo would launch today, and available until February 1st. The demo will have four quests (two of which are tutorials), and all 14 weapon types will be playable. The two hunting quests will be playable in local and online co-op along with solo. Players will hunt Great Izuchi and Mizutsune respectively.
