The US adaptation of reality show competition The Circle has proven to be a big hit for Netflix, with the streaming giant now confirming that a new season is on the way mere months after Season 2 concluded. As announced by Netflix, The Circle Season 3 release date is Wednesday, September 8, so fans of the show only have to wait a few weeks before they can start watching some brand new episodes.
Most Netflix shows release all of their episodes at once, letting viewerse binge-watch each episode one after another. The Circle is different in that it releases its episodes in batches, all leading up to a season finale where the winner of the competition is selected. It's unclear exactly how many episodes will be released for The Circle Season 3 each week, but it has been announced that the finale will premiere on September 29. Considering this, it's likely that fans can expect three to four episodes of The Circle to be released each week throughout the month of September.

The Circle has been a huge success for Netflix and will help round out what has been a solid 2021 for the mega-popular streaming service. Netflix will end the year with a bang as it releases The Witcher Season 2 on December 17, 2021, a whopping two years after it released the first season of the show. The Witcher Season 1 reviews were somewhat mixed at the time of its release, mainly in regards to its nonlinear storytelling, so it will be interesting to see how Season 2 tackles those criticisms.
Meanwhile, 2022 is also looking to be pretty exciting for Netflix users, as it will see the return of what its top scripted show. Stranger Things Season 4 will premiere on Netflix at some point in 2022, and it is sure to help solidify the 80s-set sci-fi/horror series as its flagship show. Netflix subscribers should be able to expect some of the streaming company's other top shows to return in 2022 as well. In fact, while The Circle has not been renewed beyond a third season just yet, it seems like a distinct possibility that it too will make an appearance in 2022, but fans will just have to wait and see on that front.
In the meantime, it will be interesting to see if other streaming giants like Amazon or Hulu try to counter-program The Circle. So far they seem to be focused on scripted shows, but that could change if The Circle maintains its popularity.
