Lucasfilm Games has officially announced a new Lego Star Wars game – Lego Star Wars Battles – exclusively for Apple Arcade. The joint collaboration between Lucasfilm Games, Warner Bros. Games, and The Lego Group will offer up a variety of iconic characters and locations as players engage in competitive 1v1 battles.

TT Games Brighton is leading the project, with WB Games acting as publisher. Combat will play out in real-time, with both sides attempting to destroy the other's base using a variety of troops, Lego towers, and Force abilities.

The game will feature characters and locations from throughout the Star Wars trilogy, including The Clone Wars and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, with iconic names such as Luke Skywalker, Rey, Boba Fett, and Dark Vader usable on the battlefield. You'll also be able to level up and unlock new arenas such as Hoth and Endor – although it's unclear if these new locations will offer new gameplay elements or if they're just a change of scenery.

A release date for Lego Star Wars Battles has not been announced, although it's said to be "coming soon." The game will be available exclusively on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV through Apple Arcade.
