Undertale developer Toby Fox is creating a remix by a very famous star in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk.

The first slice of DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet launched to mixed reviews on the Nintendo Switch when it came out back in September.

Now, the second and final part of the story, called The Indigo Disk, has been released and along with it a surprise.

Four-time Grammy winner Ed Sheeran has a song in the game, and it’s been remixed by Undertale developer Toby Fox.

It’s Sheeran’s song Celestial that’s been remixed, the same song that was in the end credits of base game Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Toby Fox also worked on other music for Scarlet and Violet, and also contributed to Sword and Shield, despite being best known for cult classic Undertale.

Sheeran is already known to be a big Pokémon fan, which became even more evident when he revealed his Squirtle tattoo to celebrate his Pokémon collaboration with his song Celestial in 2022.

On the same day, Sheeran explained his love for the game on Instagram, saying it all started with the trading cards and Pokémon Blue on the Game Boy. He still plays it, he says, and the collaboration for Celestial all started as a joke:

‘Flash forward to me at 31 I still have the same Game Boy Color and I still play Pokémon Silver on long haul flights.

‘I met the people from Pokémon when I was travelling in Japan, and we joked about me writing a song for them. But now here we are.’
