Phoenix Point Behemoth Edition and DLC 4 Has Officially Launched
Phoenix Point is a strategy, turn-based tactics game that first released on PC in 2019. Unsurprisingly, the game can be compared to X-Com in many elements, as it is of the same style and made by an X-Com co-creator, Julian Gollop. Snapshot Games along with Saber Minsk and Prime Matter have officially released Phoenix Point: Behemoth Edition. Phoenix Point: Behemoth Edition is the game’s long awaited console release and the game is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the price of $39.99USD. The release includes the full game and all major DLC expansions, including its latest, DLC 4: Corrupted Horizons.
In Phoenix Point, aliens have overrun earth and threatens the last remnants of mankind. Players must fight for earth’s survival by exploring a ravaged planet, building up their bases, managing resources and of course, engaging in tactical combat. Phoenix Point includes a diplomacy system so players can choose their allies as they progress.
Phoenix Point: Behemoth Edition will make players feel at home on console as the game has been finetuned for the experience with a revamped interface, unique control scheme and 1080p/30FPS on current gen consoles. Furthermore, owners will receive a free next-gen upgrade when it launches.
In DLC 4: Corrupted Horizons, the Archeron enemy and Corruption effect will make players’ lives a lot tougher, but a new ally, the Mutoid, might just even the battlefield as it is immune to Corruption. Mutoids aren’t easy to come by as they cost Mutagens. Mutoids are able to heal themselves, evolve with new abilities and provide tactical advantages.
