Pokemon GO: Ticket Guide For GO Fest 2021

Quick Links

Niantic just announced Pokemon GO's GO Fest 2021 for June 17th and 18th. It's widely known amongst trainers by now that Pokemon GO's yearly worldwide GO Fest is a ticketed event, and this year is no different. Well, in that regard, at least. In addition to this year's musically themed celebrations, it is also the fifth annual GO Fest, so the developers have listed the tickets at a significant markdown to say thank you. What's more, participating cities are hosting live registered events for free to celebrate the reopening of their communities!

GO Fest 2021 will also be including exclusive real-world interactive celebrations in over 20 cities worldwide. Here is the official list of cities that will be taking part in local events in the real world:

Europe

  • Linz, Austria
  • Dresden, Germany
  • Essen, Germany
  • Hamburg, Germany
  • Sevilla, Spain
  • Paris, France
  • Warsaw, Poland
  • Bristol, United Kingdom
  • Edinburgh, United Kingdom
  • London, United Kingdom
  • Liverpool, United Kingdom

United States of America

  • San Fransisco, California
  • Denver, Colorado
  • Atlanta, Georgia
  • Chicago, Illinois
  • Indianapolis, Indiana
  • New York City, New York
  • Nashville, Tennessee
  • Austin, Texas
  • Seattle, Washington
  • Washington, D.C.

While it's free to register, these spots are unfortunately limited, and there will be no additional in-game perks for visiting these local events.

This is likely an attempt at crowd control to deter trainers who didn't register for the real-world events and avoid overpopulation in these areas.

There are not many specifics regarding the festivities taking place in each city, aside from the officially noted "photo ops"; however, we expect more details soon. Judging by a couple of statements from participating state officials, it appears cities are taking part in the event as a means to encourage trainers to stop into the local shops as they explore the city.
