PS5 Doesn’t Have Folders, Includes Various Filter Settings

PS5 UI_02

Impressions for the PlayStation 5 are starting to go live from various publications and we’re learning even more about what the system is capable of. New details on the user interface are also being revealed, including confirmation from GameSpot that there is no support for folders. So if you want to organize titles on your own, that’s not possible.

However, what you can do is filter out different games based on a variety of settings. Go to the game library tab and there will be a drop-down menu that allows for showing only PS3, PS4 and PS5 titles. You can also filter between titles purchased from the PlayStation Store, received through PlayStation Plus or experienced through PlayStation Now. Head to the “Installed” part and you can see all of your games that are ready to play, where they’re installed and their location by way of different icons.

One other neat little addition is being able to go to a game and accessing the drop-down menu for different versions. So if you want to know if a title has a PS4 or PS5 version along with a demo, you can choose from all of these from the drop-down menu itself. No need to go digging through your library or even filtering out which versions you own.

The PS5 is out on November 12th – stay tuned for more details on its features and upcoming titles.
