Psychonauts 2, after 15 years, is a real video game sequel players can dive into and enjoy. The first game from developers Double Fine Productions did a great job of introducing a whimsical and interesting world full of intrigue and comedy. Fans have wanted a sequel for close to two decades and it has finally happened.

With trailers releasing over the past few years there have been teasing in regards to which characters fans will see once again in Razputin Aquato's new adventure as a psychonaut, well kind of. A few things happened between Psychonauts and the beginning of Psychonauts 2 with regards to the honorary Psychonaut title. Still, Raz is back and he's accompanied by some familiar faces.
Coach Oleandar
Coach Oleandar sees quite the journey in the first Psychonauts as he goes from the tough love teacher to the primary antagonist of the game. Thankfully by the time the credits roll, players have eliminated the outside factors and beings clouding his mind and he's back to being one of the good guys.

Despite having military experience he always seemed less capable than his counterparts, so it'll be interesting to see what role he plays in Psychonauts 2. Will he once again let his mind get the best of him, or will he showcase why he was made a Psychonaut in the first place? He was a teacher, albeit a concerningly aggressive one, but that means the Psychonauts organization understood who Oleandar was at his core.
Milla Vodello
Despite the first Psychonauts taking place in a summer camp setting, it does a good job of making the agency feel global. A big key in that happens to be Milla Vodello. She's a Brazilian psychonaut who specializes in levitation. Both her and Sasha Nein, her work and romantic partner, return in Psychonauts 2, which isn't surprising considering they're some of the best and most capable agents out there.
She has a few aliases, with Mental Minx being a nickname and Dustpan being her internal codename.
Ford Cruller
No coming-of-age hero tale feels right unless there's an old person involved who acts as though they should have retired ages ago. Ford Cruller serves as a central comedic figure in the original Psychonauts but also happens to be pivotal in the game's narrative.
His mind wasn't as strong as it once was, and that'll likely be the case in the sequel as well. The deterioration of his mind is why he took on a different identity depending on where he was stationed in the Summer camp featured in the first game. If Razputin Aquato needs to save the world once again, it'll probably be with Agent Cruller both literally and figuratively in his head.
Sasha Nein
Earlier, Psychonaut agent Milla Vodello was discussed, and now her partner Sasha Nein is front and center. In addition to being a German national, Sasha is a former cobbler turned scientist and secret agent.
His outfit in the sequel presents him much more like the scientist figure he's grown into, and less like the weird neighbor who lives across the street. He's one of the key mentors and guides in the original game and helped Razputin Aquato become a better psychonaut.
Lili Zanotto
Most people remember Lili Zanotto as Razputin Aquato's love interest who held her own in the original Psychonauts. In the sequel, she is a junior psychonaut alongside Razputin and is looking to find answers as to why her father was kidnapped.

Her new position in Psychonauts 2 is partially due to how powerful of a psychic she is, but with her dad being the Grand Head of the Psychonauts it'd be misinformed to not mention nepotism playing a role to some extent.
Dr. Caligosto Loboto
It didn't come as a surprise to anyone that Dr. Caligosto Loboto would make a return appearance in Psychonauts 2. He was one of the main antagonists in the first game, and in the virtual reality title Rhombus of Ruin, he served as the primary bad guy standing in the way of the Psychonauts. He was once a dentist, who now works as a freelance scientist with a fascination for brains.
As of the beginning of Psychonauts 2, he is in the custody of the Psychonauts and is being held at their base, the Motherlobe. He's a rather valuable prisoner to have, as his insight into madness can make a difference in the Psychonauts solving the latest brain-related mystery to show up at their doorstep.
Razputin Aquato
Raz is the lovable and wide-eyed protagonist of the first Psychonauts and returns in that same role in the sequel. At the climax of the first game, Raz was about to bew given his Psychonaut badge and jumper, having saved the world from unknown catastrophes.
Well, the catastrophes were known to the Psychonauts, but not necessarily to the world at large. Despite encountering a hiccup with regards to that promotion, Raz is ready to save the world once more. Not only does he get another opportunity to be a hero in the sequel, but his backstory regarding his family and the circus is explored.
