According to this report, the new company is called Absurd Ventures in Games and was registered in the UK on June 23. Dan Houser, most known for being the co-founder of Rockstar Games, is listed as the Director and as the main correspondent on all of the official filing documents.

There's not much information on the company beyond what can be seen on the company filings website. According to that site, Dan Houser is listed as the director of the company, and the purpose is "Ready-made Interactive leisure and entertainment software development", which confirms that it has something to do with gaming.

The inclusion of terms like "entertainment software development" make it sound like the company is indeed related to gaming. Some have speculated that the company could be consultants on gaming development rather than making games, but the details are so sparse that it's all speculation.

It seems like the company is still incredibly early on, with the filings only being complete last week on June 23. With this in mind, it's very unlikely that we'll hear anything official from the company anytime soon, let alone a new title from them. We'll have to wait for an official announcement to get confirmation on the studio's purpose.

Dan Houser originally left Rockstar Games back in 2020, with the reason apparently being so he could have more personal time with his family. It looks like he's ready to return to gaming development, although it's not clear why he's decided to make his own studio rather than returning to Rockstar.

Beyond being the co-founder of Rockstar Games, Dan Houser has had a hand in developing many of its games, including both Red Dead Redemption titles and most of the Grand Theft Auto games.
