Second Extinction‘s Pre-Season 5 has begun. The action-packed co-op shooter in which you and your pals fight mutant dinosaurs throughout a devastated globe is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
Second Extinction pits up to three-player teams against swarms of hungry dinosaurs in fast-paced combat over Earth’s post-apocalyptic wastelands. Equip a variety of unique strong weapons and skills and battle alone or with allies against long-thought-extinct monster dinosaurs – now mutated and deadlier than ever! The War Effort is Second Extinction‘s community-driven global metagame, in which you can directly influence the danger level and difficulties that players all around the world experience by performing missions and activities.
This Pre-Season 5 includes a level ceiling increase from 25 to 50, as well as additional technical enhancements such as support for gamepad remapping and a slew of game balance and repairs. In addition, the team created new aesthetic prizes that reward players for their efforts within the game.
Despite the previously mentioned changes, the main changes brought about in this Pre-Season 5 update are:
- New Enemy – Dasher Raptor: Fast and airborne, these new dinos ambush in groups for a deadly assault from all angles (Emergence Events only).
- New Weapon – Artillery Cannon: A precision-skill weapon for Enforcers, dealing high damage if you hit directly and smaller splash damage if your shots land too far away.
- New Equipment – Sticky Firecracker: Capable of staggering foes in an emergency.
Second Extinction Pre-Season 5: “Longest Days” is available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and the Microsoft Store for PC through Xbox Game Preview. It’s also on Steam Early Access.
