It’s been a big week for video games with Halo Infinite‘s release and the trailer-filled Game Awards on Thursday night, but that’s not what Formula 1 fans will be thinking about. It’s the final race of the season with Max and Lewis going into the title fight completely even on points. Who’s going to pull it out of the bag? Hopefully there’s less controversy than last week!
But before that, you’re here to catch up on the week that was in our gaming round-up, aren’t you?

We’re got a big round up all the news from The Game Awards here, but here’s some of the highlights:

Alongside these, we had a preview of the upcoming racer GRID Legends, which aims to take the revitalised series to new heights.
And we round out the week as always with What We Played, featuring Halo Infinite, Deathloop and Heavenly Bodies

And finally for this round-up, we come to… you!
- MrYd continued on with Aliens: Fireteam Elite before diving into the PS+ games of the month. He’s not a fan of Mortal Shell, but is enjoying Godfall. He also checked out GTA3’s remaster, which he deems as bad as it has been claimed. But the most impressive thing from this week was the Matrix Awakens tech demo on PS5.
- Andrewww stayed up for the whole Game Awards show, but there wasn’t much that wowed him. When gaming, he played through Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime with his kids and continued on in Days Gone without them.
- ron_mcphatty took on Calamity Ganon in Breath of the Wild and found it rather easy, since his Link was stacked with hearts and tip-top weapons. Now it’s on to the DLC quests.
- It’s been Dark Souls 2 for TSBonyman, who’s spotted and easier route to take but is grappling with the need to grind to make more progress.
- hornet1990 has gone “retro” with Battlefield 3 (and read the tie in novel by Andy McNab), having a great time diving into the multiplayer again.
- And willbuchanan grabbed the platinum for Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter and raced through the main story of Maneater. He’s also gone back to the original Watch Dogs and Tomb Raider Definitive Edition to pick up their multiplayer modes with some friends and hoover up some more trophies.
That’s it for this week’s gaming round-up. Have a fun weekend, wrap up warm, and we’ll catch you again soon.
