Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Modder gives Ganondorf a Fresh, Fancy New Look

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is no stranger to fanmade mods for its roster of characters. Many modders usually go the route of creating additional characters for the roster rigged and modeled over an existing character, such as modding Melia from Xenoblade over Palutena. Others create brand-new costumes for some of these characters, leading to some creative and wonderfully unique designs. One modder was commissioned to give The Legend of Zelda's main recurring antagonist, Ganondorf, a fresh new look, complete with a suit and tie.

Ganondorf's been one of Nintendo's most popular villains, and by extension, one of the most popular characters to play as in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, too. His heavy powerhouse playstyle is an easy one to understand and get used to, and can deal heavy damage to players who are unprepared fighting him. There have been several mods for the King of Evil, such as one mod that gives Ganondorf his outfit from Hyrule Warriors. This mod turns him into a fancy businessman, turning him from the King of Evil into the CEO of Evil.

This mod, titled "Fancydorf," was created by Silent, a prominent modder in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate scene. Ganondorf's Ocarina of Time outfit has been upgraded with a full beard, along with a black suit jacket, trousers, and a red plaid tie. His shoulder pauldrons and cape have also been upgraded, with them now becoming a full-on mantlecloak, where they now seem to encompass his entire body. His sword has also been replaced with a very fancy cane with the Triforce logo on it.

The mod goes the extra mile to make him quite fresh and stylish, where the gameplay screenshots shown him fit perfectly within the art style and world of Smash Ultimate. This includes full custom UI for this new outfit, like character stock icons and character renders. The outfit comes in two varieties, one black and one blue. This new look for Ganondorf gives the new DLC Fighter Kazuya and his suit alternate costume competition in the fashion department.

This brand new outfit given to Ganondorf shows off some of the high-quality modders that are a part of the scene. These mods showcase not only a love for certain characters, but also giving them a creative new look. Silent is still currently making mods for Smash Ultimate, as seen on his Twitter and Gamebanana pages, where one of the mods currently being worked on is replacing Roy with Zero from the Mega Man franchise.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
