We’ve got great news for all the fans of Mario Kart out there, as Nintendo recently announced a new update for Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. As of July 1, you are now able to download Version 1.1.0. Nintendo notes that in order to play with others, you will all need to have the same version of the game downloaded, so be sure to stay on top of these updates.
To install the update, you simply need to make sure you’re connected to the internet, and then launch the game. This update will be installed automatically, so you don’t need to mess around in the settings.

Nintendo includes three major changes to Mario Kart Live in Version 1.1.0. The overarching change is that they’ve claimed to have “made general changes to improve enjoyment of the game,” which have not been specified in further detail.
But the other two updates include some stuff to get excited about. Version 1.1.0 adds a Mario Cup to the Grand Prix. If you meet certain criteria in this cup, you’ll be able to unlock three new environments and also a gate to use during course creation. The three courses include Slip Circuit—a track covered in slippery oil, Barrel Temple—a Donkey Kong-themed track, and Fossil Field—a track littered with geysers.
Additionally, they’ve added kart designs to the game that will include Super Yoshi and Yoshi Horn. These can also be unlocked through finishing the new Mario Cup in third place or better, so you’re not going to want to wait around before giving this cup a go.
Not too long ago, we also saw the release of the Mario Kart Rainbow Road Hot Wheels set. So, if you’re a die-hard Mario Kart fan who wants to experience the most iconic track in real life, you can pick up one of these sets. The track is eight feet long, so they certainly tried to do the track justice in this recreation.
