AndaSeat Jungle Series Premium Gaming Chair Review

Let’s be honest: if you’re in the market for a “gaming chair”, you’re undoubtedly starting your search with DXRacer or Secretlab. At least, this wouldn’t be surprising given those two brands’ name recognition within the realm of gaming and livestreaming. Personally, my social timelines are chock full of sponsored ads from those two brands, specifically. There are, however, numerous other gaming chair brands featuring chairs that are more than capable of providing you style for your own streaming setup, as well as comfort for extended gaming sessions.

AndaSeat is one of those brands, which features a wide variety of chairs for you to choose from. I recently had the chance to check out the AndaSeat Jungle Series Premium Gaming Chair, and to be honest, the Jungle Series outshines both of my DXRacer chairs in every aspect from setup to actual use.

AndaSeat’s Jungle Series features AD+ PVC leather – a material that is only used on AndaSeat’s higher-end chairs – which protects it from scratches while also being stain-resistant (which has been especially good for my needs as the father of a two-year-old). The leather feels nice to the touch, while also feeling thick and overall high-quality in terms of its durability.

I’ve put together a handful of gaming chairs before, and each one seemed overly difficult – whether it be due to the screws and screw holes not lining up easily, or the chair itself just being awkward to install in general. Those headaches were non-existent during the installation of my Jungle Series. I was easily able to set up my chair on my own, and it only took about 10-minutes to do so. I honestly thought I had skipped a step or mucked something up, but even without having to use the directions, I was easily able to get my chair up and running in no time at all.

Sitting in the Jungle Series chair is equally as satisfying. In my initial sit, I felt as though I was being fully encompassed with the sides of the backrest and seat cushion curving just enough to feel like the chair was wrapping around my back (and backside). Honestly, I’m still a bit surprised by the snugness of the chair every time I sit down. It’s not snug in a bad way – it’s actually very cozy, speaking as someone who is 6’2” with an athletic build, but is also slowly toeing on the edge of a dad bod. However, if you have a larger body type, the chair might be a bit too snug. I feel like if I were any bigger, the chair wouldn't be quite as comfortable.

I should also note that my height causes my head to sit a good inch above the top of the backrest. When I lay my head back, the area just above the base of my skull sits atop of the backrest. This isn’t a big deal since rarely do I rest my head back while working or gaming – likely only during loading screens or pre-match lobbies. It’s just worth mentioning, especially if you happen to be on the taller side.

In terms of the Jungle Series’ ergonomics, the chair performs admirably. The chair sits high enough to allow the knees of my longer-than-average legs to sit properly below my waist. The backrest, along with the accompanying lumbar pillow, allows me to sit with proper posture while working. I can adjust this into a more leaned-back, relaxed position when casually playing games, though. In fact, the backrest actually lays nearly horizontally, lining up parallel to the floor. I don’t know why I would ever need to use this feature, but it’s nice to know that I’d be able to.

The armrests move up and down and, again, work great for my height. My elbows are able to sit in a proper ergonomic position, well within reach of my keyboard whether I’m working or gaming. I do wish that the armrests moved forward and backward, but it’s definitely not a dealbreaker for recommending the chair as a solid ergonomic option.

I recently started physical therapy as the result of a car accident, so having an ergonomically sound chair while working quickly became high on my priority list. The Jungle Series performs that role exceptionally well. I’ve used the chair exclusively for the past couple of weeks, and whether I’m working all day or gaming all night, the AndaSeat Jungle Series Premium Gaming Chair provides plenty of comfort without the fatigue for extended periods of time.
