A new trailer for Lord of the Rings: Gollum has been uploaded by publisher Nacon, showing off some of the game's stealth and parkour gameplay.
In the trailer, the titular Gollum can be seen in all-new environments scaling walls and leaping across hazardous gaps. Described by Nacon as a "cinematic stealth-action adventure" and mixes stealth and parkour gameplay as you travel to a number of iconic locations across Middle-Earth inlcuding the Mines of Moria and Mirkwood.

Nacon also promises that you will meet some iconic characters from The Lord of the Rings universe including Thranduil, King of the Elves of Mirkwood, as well as the Mouth of Sauron and even Gandalf. Each character has been meticulously crafted by developer Daedalic Entertainment and are "highly faithful to the descriptions in the books." Nacon then shows off the character models of these characters in its new video, and they all look incredibly detailed.
Of course, the main focus of the game will be on Gollum, and players will be able to experience key moments in the history of Middle-Earth through the eyes of Gollum. According to Nacon, Gollum doesn't "take any side other than his own", so expect to be making some pretty self-serving decisions as you sneak and trick your way through the games multiple locations.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was delayed into next year at the end of January, and is expected to launch at some point in late 2022. The game is expected to launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch, although it's very likely this will be via the cloud similar to game like Hitman 3, A Plague Tale: Requiem, and Square Enix's Guardians of the Galaxy.
