The Witcher Fans Show Off Impressive Temerian Blue Stripes Cosplay

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings has no shortage of interesting characters for players to cosplay, with the game's aesthetic and character design have led to some impressive fan tributes. The community often shows off cosplays from this game as well as the others in the series. In one of the latest displays, a group of players has brought to life the Blue Stripes from The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

Recreating the look of characters from video games through cosplay has become a common practice for fans and players alike. This elaborate cosplay display is of an elite special forces unit for the Temerian military in the second game of the series. This group was headed by Vernon Roche during their presence in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

The trio of cosplayers includes the original poster of this gallery, u/fel0ra. Each person is wearing a beautifully crafted uniform that matches the in-game unit's look quite well. The sewn clothes are mixed with leather and metal armor to complete the core of the outfit. This crew of cosplayers is also heavily armed with a complement of swords, daggers, and even a crossbow. Most importantly, like their compatriots in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, this group has the iconic blue stripes. The effort put into these particular cosplays shows, as each one of these uniforms looks as though the game has been brought to life.

The Blue Stripes were an interesting group in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and this cosplay matches their memorable look quite well. In order to get to this level of detail, though, each one of these outfits likely required a significant amount of time. Shaping the metal pieces of the uniforms, crafting the leather belts and armor, as well as sewing everything else demands a wide variety of skills. So reaching this level of detail takes dedication.

U/fel0ra's impressive tribute to the Blue Stripes shows a lot about the memorable aesthetic of The Witcher series and why it has been a sucess. The characters and plot lines are the major pieces of what makes a game great but how it looks can have an effect on how well it does. The character designs, game setting, and art style each factor into how players react to the game.

That being said, there is no exact formula to making a game successful. Though having a memorable design and aesthetic can help, it doesn't guarantee anything. Fortunately, The Witcher series has become an iconic series and one that has prompted a number of cosplays. And u/fel0ra's group of Blue Stripes is one of the better ones to date.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is available now on PC, Mac, Linux, and Xbox 360.
