We wrote about Toree 2 back in November—as an homage to the Nintendo 64/PS1-era of gaming, it’s a fabulous little budget platformer that fans of the genre should absolutely give a look. If the 99¢ price tag isn’t enough to sway you (yes, that’s the regular price), perhaps word from developer Marcus “Siactro” Horn of free content coming to the game will. You can get a look at the upcoming stages in this trailer:
On Wednesday, December 22 at 10 AM PST, fans will be able to download new winter-themed levels for the game. There are three in total, with two boasting a new take on Toree 2’s collectathon stylings and a third that promises a “secret twist.” The original Toree is also a dollar, so for two bucks or a pinch of Gold Points, these two bite-sized games are a perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening of play.
