GTA and NBA streamer Adin Ross has been banned from Twitch for streaming himself reading texts and interacting with the chat whilst driving, thereby breaking California state law.
As reported by Dexerto, Adin Ross was banned following a stream on July 7 that had the streamer moving away from games and filming in real life. The streamer took to his car, where he was filmed by another passenger.

In the stream, Adin Ross was recorded by one of his friends checking his phone several times whilst driving. Several Twitter users have recorded the incident, which shows Adin stopping at a red light whilst checking his phone and reacting to the Twitch chat.
Twitch guidelines will ban users for any illegal activity, and Californian state law says that “driving while using a handheld cellular device or texting” is considered a crime.
Following the recent stream, Twitter account StreamerBans reported that Adin Ross had been banned for the fourth time. Previous bans have been because of nudity and from a homophobic remark made by Adin earlier in the year.

Adin later commented on the ban and believes that it might be permanent due to breaking the law. He said, “Just got banned in twitch. I think it’s a perm guys … this is not good AT ALL. I was at a red light during my irl stream and I read chat off of my phone. I am 100% in the wrong I’m so sorry. Idk when I’m gonna be back tho … I’m shaking rn I’m so sorry I feel horrible”.
Following his Tweet about the incident, Adin also went live on Instagram to discuss the situation, claiming that it is his fault and not Twitch’s. He plans on appealing the ban on account of him claiming to be stopped at a red light whilst checking his phone.
It has been reported that a Twitch ban related to driving can last up to a week, although Adin believes that the ban is a permanent one because he still hasn't heard back from Twitch about the situation.
