Released earlier this year for the Sega Dreamcast, the HD remaster of Xenocider is set for release on PC and consoles next year.
Eastasiasoft is already gearing up for the Tokyo Game Show 2021. Among its offerings is a remaster of a game that hasn’t been on the market for long but was launched for a platform that’s been out there for more than 20 years. After a successful launch on Sega Dreamcast, Xenocider HD is coming to all platforms next year.
A third-person rail shooter in nostalgic 32-bit style
The game is a third-person rail shooter being developed and ported in collaboration with 2Dream, the company behind Ghost Blade HD. Play as Xara, a cyborg from a distant planet who has been turned into the greatest weapon of mass devastation owing to her incredible strength, speed, and fighting ability in the most hostile settings.
This remastered version of the game has low-poly visuals, new lighting effects, and high-quality textures, giving it the ultimate way to play this cult classic.
Xenocider HD will be published next year for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. Plus, if you want to give the game a go, there is a free PC trial planned from September 30 to October 3.
