Crafting Oils
True to their canonical use, specialized oils are used as blade coatings to increase your sword’s damage. Each specialized oil enhances the damage dealt to that particular classification of monster by 100%. Here’s a list of every oil found in the game so far, common species it’s used against, and how to make it.

To access the crafting menu, follow this simple step-by-step process.
- Press the upward arrow button centered at the bottom of the overworld screen.
- Select the Inventory (with the green Cauldron icon.)
- The Inventory will open to the Crafting tab by default. From this page, select the infinite crafting station option the game gives you.
- You can now scroll for the Oil formula you wish to concoct using the "All" or "Oils" tabs at the top of the page.
Formulas that you have all of the required materials for will be pushed to the top of these lists, whereas Formula's where you are missing ingredients will be grayed out.

Buying Oils
If you’re short on materials but have an immediate need, you can purchase every blade oil in the in-game alchemy shop. Here’s a list of what a stack of 3 blade coatings will run you respectively:

To access the in-game shop, simply select the coin purse icon in the bottom right of the overworld screen. You'll be greeted with the daily deals, which often consist of starter bundles and some significant sales on a rotating stock of explosives, oils, and or brews. You can also search for specific items by flipping to the Alchemy tab on this page. Here you can scroll through The Witcher Monster Slayer's entire selection of Potions, Oils, and Bombs.
