Best Ways To Farm Money In NEO: The World Ends With You

Money is as important in NEO: The World Ends With You as it is in most other RPGs, especially as buying Threads, Pins, and various foodstuffs is a big part of the game's mechanics. To earn money, you must sell the Pins that you acquire throughout the game, usually by completing quests and by defeating enemies in battle. Some of these Pins are in the game solely to be sold for money and these are probably the best ones to grind for if you want a lot of cash.

While most methods of earning these Pins are limited, enemies will always populate the streets of Shibuya and are a great way to earn oodles of cash. Pump up your drop rate as high as you can and take a look at the best places to grind for Yen below.

Before that, however, it is in your best interests to unlock the ShibuPay Bonus ability on the Social Network. You can get this ability by completing Riko Sekinohara's quest which is available on Week 3 Day 4 at Shibuya Hikarie. This will slightly increase the amount of money you earn by selling Pins, and every little helps when some of the most expensive items in the game cost over 1,000,000 Yen.

Low-Level Grinding: Dixiefrogs & Garage Wolves

In the early game, Dixiefrogs and Garage Wolves are pretty good targets for Yen grinding if you have your eye on something specific. Dixiefrogs drop 500 Yen Pins at a rate of 10 percent on Hard Difficulty and can be found in huge numbers on Week 1 Day 1 and Week 1 Day 2. Reduce your level a bit and perhaps equip any drop rate-increasing Threads and you'll be swimming in Pins.

Alternatively, you can play on Easy Mode and target Garage Wolves on those same days. There are fewer of them, but they are much more likely to drop 500 Yen Pins with a base drop chance of 40 percent.

Mid-Level Grinding: Drum 'n' Stingers

If the frogs and wolves aren't doing it for you and you have your eyes set on a more expensive prize, try facing off against Drum 'n' Stingers. These scorpion-like Noise have a 2 percent chance to drop 5,000 Yen Pins on Hard Difficulty. While this is very low, you can get large chains of this noise on Week 2 Day 4 on Center Street — you shouldn't have to reduce your level too much to get a decent drop rate.

Ultimate Grinding: Hardcore Puffers

With a very high drop rate, you can quite consistently acquire 100,000 Yen Pins from Hardcore Puffers while on Ultimate Difficulty. A great location to find these is Week 3 Day 5 at Shibuya Hikarie. Just remember to evade their final blasts once you've reduced their HP to zero and you should be able to handle a large number of reductions.

Alternatively, you can check Tsutaya O-East during Another Day to find groups of three Hardcore Puffers at once along with a chance to get a Blue Puffer Symbol, which will increase your drop rate significantly.
