American Horror Story Season 10 Trailer Teases A Collision Of Terror

American Horror Story promises twice the terror in the upcoming 10th season of the show, subtitled Double Feature. The show released a short teaser trailer showing off two very different worlds colliding, but it also presented a different storyline than any other previous season.

The new season seems to be riffing off the recent release of American Horror Stories, with two parts and two stories being told within the season instead of one. The two parts are "Part 1: Red Tide" and "Part 2: Death Valley." American Horror Story is known for its cryptic and unrevealing trailers, and this recent preview is no exception. As the name suggests, the two parts of the season riff on classic horror film tropes: the sea monster and the alien invasion.

The American Horror Story teaser trailer is full of confusing and terrifying images. The "Red Tide" visuals include a creepy bald vampire-like sea creature, reminiscent of an X-Files monster and also Nosferatu. "Death Valley" features a stereotypical-looking grey alien. The trailer fades in and out of the two worlds and eventually collides both of them, with the two creatures hissing, growling, and holding each other in various scenes. The new American Horror Story preview shows no other characters besides the two monsters of the upcoming season.

Returning cast members for American Horror Story season 10 include the iconic Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman, Kathy Bates, Angelica Ross, and Finn Wittrock. It was also recently revealed that Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin will also be starring in the season in an undisclosed role. On Twitter, cast members promise a creepy and in-depth sex scene between the characters Culkin and Bates play. The cast is missing some fan favorites of past America Horror Story tales, like Jessica Lange, but still includes many-core actors and actresses to promise another horrifying season of the acclaimed series.

American Horror Story: 1984 was the last season of the show and this upcoming chapter seems to be following a similar classic film trope theme. With American Horror Story coming into a decade on air, the show has always been able to offer fans a variety of horror and consistent plot twists and storylines.

If you don't like one season of American Horror Story, you're bound to love another one. As usual, American Horror Story is keeping plot details under wraps, allowing viewers to experience the brand new season with no spoilers.

American Horror Story season 10 premieres on August 25th, 2021, on FX with Hulu.
