Apex Legends, Rainbow Six Siege Officially Join PlayStation Tournaments: Open Series

Not every tournament is a flashy affair with stadiums and screaming crowds. The vast majority of online gaming tourneys are smaller scale, with small cash prizes for those lucky and/or skilled enough to make it to the final round.

PlayStation's Open Series is exactly the sort of small-time tournament that aspiring pro-gamers can cut their teeth on. Open Series tournaments are officially sanctioned by PlayStation, take place in over 70 countries, and span 17 games including Mortal Kombat 11, Call of Duty: Warzone, and FIFA 21.

With over 16,000 tournaments under its belt, PlayStation knows how to inject a little friendly competition into your game sessions.

And now, PlayStation Tournaments; Open Series is expanding to include Apex Legends and Rainbow Six Siege, two giant online shooters that are both cemented in the esports community.
