Worlds will collide once again later this month as Ubisoft prepares for a new Assassin’s Creed x For Honor crossover event.
Well, we say new. For the Creed will be returning to For Honor as the latest throwback event, allowing players who previously missed out to get a slice of the action. It will go live on all available platforms on April 28, 2022, and will run until May 19, 2022.
So, what can players expect during this time? There will be plenty of themed cosmetics to unlock and purchase including news outfits and executions based on the Assassin’s Creed series. The event will also introduce a time-limited game mode, Assassini E Templari:
A special version of Dominion, which pits Assassins against Templars. Players will still vie for control of three zones across the map, but when your team captures the zone closest to your enemies’ spawn point, you’ll lure out their commanders. The commander for the Assassins is Ezio Auditore da Firenze, while the Templars are led by Cesare Borgia. With massive health pools and devastating area area-of-effect swings, these commanders won’t be easy to take out, but doing so nets your team 300 points and propels you that much closer to victory. The first team to reach 1,000 points and successfully eliminate all opposing team members wins.
Besides the new game mode, there are some cool touches Assassin’s Creed fans will appreciate. Matches will be narrated by the villainous Warren Vidic, with an Animus-style glitch effect occasionally appearing. Our favourite detail? By default, aerial attacks will be swapped with an Assassin’s leap during For the Creed.
For Honor is currently in Year 6 Season 1, which kicked off last month. While there was no new hero added to the roster, Ubisoft has finally united the player base by enabling online cross-play between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. This feature will be expanded later this month with the option to form parties with those playing on other platforms.
Throughout Year 6, fans can expect two new fighters, as well as four unique character skins, each with their own story to tell.
