Fans of the Left 4 Dead series have been dying for a sequel. The action-packed, multiplayer mayhem made the games endlessly replayable. With the original developers at the helm, Back 4 Blood looks to bring the spirit of Left 4 Dead to modern consoles but will it be a fresh bite or a rotten corpse?
The industry is full of zombie shooters and whilst the idea has grown tired, many are still excited about the possibilities that lie with Back 4 Blood. Even to this day, the Left 4 Dead series is still considered one of the best titles to feature the undead. Due to this, Turtle Rock Studios are looking to continue in the mangled footsteps of its predecessors, placing intense, multiplayer madness at the forefront of the experience. With new additions such as a card-based boost system, have the developers done enough to modernize the concept whilst staying true to the source material?
