Battlefield 2042 players have reported encountering server error codes 4C and 13C with the message “unable to load persistence data”. Series developer, EA DICE, says it is working on a fix.
The studio announced that it is investigating server connection issues, specifically referring to codes 4C and 13C. These Battlefield 2042 errors have seemingly returned after DICE previously stamped them out. The support team hasn’t given an estimate on when this will be fixed though last time it took a few hours.

In the meantime, Battlefield 2042 players are attempting to use workarounds, some reporting that it can be fixed by switching off cross-play. However, it’s best to wait for DICE to issue a server update – hopefully it will acknowledge the frustration of early access players by offering some form of in-game compensation.
With Battlefield 2042’s full global launch just hours away, we’re hoping the game will be stable as a heavy influx of players take their first steps in the futuristic shooter sequel.
Launching on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Battlefield 2042 doesn’t feature a singleplayer campaign. Fans can expect familiar game modes, as well as DICE’s newest spin on the battle royale formula, Hazard Zone.
