Call of Duty Vanguard is one of the best FPS games I have played in a while, and everything about it is just so good but let’s talk about the Campaign first.

Table of Contents

Call of Duty Vanguard’s Campaign has a really well-written plot and always keeps you wondering what’s next.

Call of Duty Vanguard’s Campaign is the most well-written Call of Duty Campaign I have played in a while. Call of Duty WW2’s Campaign is nothing compared to Vanguard’s because of the Characters alone. Call of Duty Vanguard just portrays that WW2 setting in the campaign mode perfectly, and on top of that, you get that amazing gunplay if you are playing on Next-Gen consoles you also get a lot of advantages such as 120FPS along with Haptic Feedback and the Dualsense’s Triggers if you are playing on PlayStation 5 of course.

It just keeps you in action every time, and I cannot recall any main character being boring. They have really great backstories, which just give so much depth to their character and makes you wondering what’s next.

Call of Duty Vanguard has a lot of diversity in the Main Characters, which was pretty nice to see, and it just kind of gives you those horrors of war with the setpieces and unexpected situations you will find yourself in.

Polina from Vanguard is my favourite main character, but to be honest, I feel like Wade has the best Special Ability where you can just focus on your targets, and it kind of becomes really useful.

The Antagonist is amazing, too and the way he gets frustrated by the situations he gets put in is actually quite funny; it’s like he’s not even thinking about what he’s doing anymore.

I cannot talk more about the Campaign because I want this review to be a bit spoiler-free so you can enjoy the plot more.

Let’s talk about the Multiplayer Mode in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Call of Duty Vanguard’s Multiplayer is the best I have seen in a Call of Duty Game at Launch.

Call of Duty Vanguard amazing VFX

There is a vast variety of maps in Call of Duty Vanguard, along with a lot of modes, and the maps are really well made. I had one issue with Local Co-Op though it just kept crashing when I tried to play Free For All and some other modes with my friend, and you are unable to change the difficulty of bots in one particular team; it says that it did change the difficulty, but it actually does not hopefully these issues get fixed as soon as possible.

It’s nearly impossible to do camping in most maps, so that’s great news for a lot of people. I think that Skill Based Match Making is a really great feature, and they have somehow made it even better in this Call of Duty.

Online Multiplayer is great. I had no issues or anything except some minor server issues, which were probably due to some network problems at my end. I really cannot wait to see what Activision can do with the multiplayer of Vanguard with a lot of updates; I mean, it’s already amazing right off the bat, but judging by the amount of content they added into the Cold War multiplayer, it can be the best Call of Duty Multiplayer Mode ever.

The Gunplay of Call of Duty Vanguard is something I have already talked about, and it just makes the Multiplayer Gameplay even better along with those Dualsense features, of course.

Call of Duty Vanguard has astonishing VFX and Graphics.

The scenery of Call of Duty Vanguard is just absolutely astonishing; you go from a fully destructed Berlin to a bit Tropical Setting in Japan; it just feels marvellous to look at. On top of that, it can run at 120FPS with a 1440P Resolution (Assuming, but it’s definitely higher than 1080P-900P because I played on PS4 as well for comparison)

The Soundtrack of Call of Duty Vanguard just perfectly fits the vibe

The soundtrack just fits the vibe of the game perfectly, and it is definitely worth listening. Do yourself a favour play the Campaign mode with headphones; it gives you a much better experience than a soundbar or your TV’s own speaker.

I have not played the Zombies mode yet, and I am not a fan of Zombies mode anyway, so I do not think my opinion on that matters a lot, so let’s get to the Verdict.

Verdict

Last image from Call of Duty Vanguard

Call of Duty Vanguard is definitely worth playing for anyone who likes FPS games; many people are waiting for Battlefield 2042 as well to compare these 2 games a bit, but I do not think that Battlefield 2042 can be better than Call of Duty Vanguard, and this is coming from someone who has thousands of hours in Battlefield 1 and 4 and has been a fan since Battlefield 1942.

From the campaign mode to multiplayer mode, there is very little to complain about in Call of Duty Vanguard, at least for me, and I feel like the game is way better than Cold War in nearly every way, so please purchase it if you can.

I had mad fun in the lobbies while playing with my friend, and I think it’s a game I’m gonna be playing for a while, especially because of that, and I might even try the Zombies mode more to see if it changes my mind I also could not play Vanguard’s Zombies mode with Local Co-Op for some reason, but I am not sure if they even have that feature in any other Call of Duty Games since I barely play the Zombies mode.

So I think that you should buy Call of Duty Vanguard if you enjoyed WW2 or even Cold War since I feel like it’s way more better than both of those games now. I just cannot wait to see what they do with the updates in the multiplayer mode, and I hope that the next Call of Duty game turns out to be even better; they have really been on a roll recently.
