Aspyr announced today that the Sid Meier’s Civilization VI: New Frontier Pass will be available for iOS later this month.
The New Frontier Pass adds new civilizations, leaders, game modes, and free cross-platform cloud saves to the strategy game. The pass includes six extra official DLC packs, as well as two Persona Packs, bringing a slew of new content.
Furthermore, a free update for all players will be available on August 24. It will bring cross-platform cloud saves to the iOS version of the game for the first time, allowing players who own the game on several platforms to play compatible save files across their preferred devices.
A full experience on-the-go
For those who don’t know, the New Frontier Pass includes six new DLC packs, including the Maya & Gran Colombia Pack, Ethiopia Pack, Byzantium & Gaul Pack, Babylon Pack, Vietnam & Kublai Khan Pack, and the Portugal Pack.
In addition to that, there are eight new civilizations and nine new leaders, including the Mayans, Vietnamese, and Byzantines, bringing the total number of playable great leaders to over 50, as well as six new game modes introducing a variety of new ways to play, such as recruitable heroes from history and myth, the ability to dial-up natural disasters in Apocalypse Mode, and secret societies that can enhance or undermine empires.
Release date
Sid Meier’s Civilization VI: New Frontier Pass will be available on iOS starting on August 24. It was previously released for PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Mac, and Linux.
