New content has been revealed for the Demon Slayer video game. There have been tons of trailers, reveals, and announcements over the last few days thanks to Gamecom 2021. One of the pieces of information has to do with Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, a game based on the popular manga and anime. A new trailer dropped for the action fighting game, this time focusing on Adventure Mode.
There are passionate fans of Demon Slayer, so there is a lot of excitement behind this 3D fighting game. Along with the standard Versus Mode, which pits fighters against one another both online and off, Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles offers an Adventure Mode as well.

The new Adventure Mode trailer shows off some story elements and combat of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, basically surrounding one extremely intense looking battle. The footage even shows a behind-the-scenes look of the character design and 3D modeling. Although short, the music, animation, and close-up shot of Tanjiro Kamado is enough to get the blood pumping for fans of the series. It is also very intriguing to see the game come together from a development perspective.
Because Demon Slayer is such an emotional and impactful manga and anime, much of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles' success will depend on the story and Adventure Mode. Yes, plenty of fans care about flashy moves and exciting combos, but the idea of following Tanjiro as he attempts to face demons and turn his sister back into a human will be enticing to many fans. The short trailer does a good job of hinting at what is to come in this game through this rather interesting game mode.
Demon Slayer has quickly become one of the more popular manga and anime since bursting onto the scene in 2016. It makes plenty of sense for it to receive the video game treatment, and thus far the fighter looks to be of high quality. It could be that Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles turns out to be a massive sales success because the recent movie was also a huge hit. In fact, Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train grossed over $410 million, the highest for any anime movie ever. Perhaps it is unlikely that Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles will see similar success, but Tanjiro and company have surprised the manga and anime community before.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles releases on October 15 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
