Today Nexon released another brand trailer of the upcoming fighting game DNF Duel, inspired by the Dungeon Fighter franchise (also known as Dungeon & Fighter in Korea).
The trailer focuses on one of the available characters, the Ranger, showing his gunslinging moves in battle against the Inquisitor
As usual, it feels very familiar if you compare visuals and gameplay to Arc System Works’ games. This shouldn’t surprise considering that Nexon hired the popular Japanese fighting game developer to create the game. The previous trailer featuring the Berserker the one showing the Inquisitor, the one showcasing the Grappler, and the trailer focusing on the Striker give the same feeling.
You can check it out and see what I mean for yourself below.
Dungeon Fighter Online is quite popular worldwide (admittedly a lot more in Asia than in the west) and the game has social media accounts in English, so we might certainly expect a western release.
Dungeon Fighter Online is one of the most played games in the world if you look at actual revenue, so it was pretty much a matter of time for it to expand to other genres and markets.
At the moment, no platforms or release windows have been announced for DNF Duel, so we’ll have to wait for further information on that front.
In the meanwhile, you can watch a previous gameplay trailer from a few days ago and another from last year, and see how the game evolved.
