The road to Dying Light 2 Stay Human has been quite a long one. There’s been various reports about the game having a rough development, followed by a relatively lengthy delay. Now, though, it seems that the game is set to come and kick off 2022. It has officially gone gold with developer/publisher Techland promising that no more delays will take place. Today, we also got an extended look at the action game.
A new piece of gameplay footage was released that totaled over 15 minutes. While there is a few cuts, a lot of it seems pretty uninterrupted, giving you a good idea of what the basic loop is like. Here you get to see some of the parkour that fans of the first game will recognize, alongside plenty of other cool things like melee combat and paragliding. The video covers two sections, one where you must power up a substation and are given a choice of how to re-route its power, and the second you must defend a settlement from attackers. While there is some zombie action here, most of the combat is actually against human raider characters. It also features Lawan, the character portrayed by actor Rosario Dawson.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human will be available on all major platforms on February 4th 2022.
