Genshin Impact: Complete Gardening Guide

Genshin Impact made fans super happy when it introduced the Serenitea Pot. This feature allows you to grab a magical teapot from Ms. Ping and make a home inside of it. You have probably already got your mansion and the surrounding area set up, but now thanks to the 2.0 update, you can also start gardening in your home away from home.

This new feature allows you to grow plants that you have already encountered in Teyvat, essentially cutting down on the time you have to spend scouring the world for your favorite characters' next ascension materials. The guide below goes over everything you need to know about gardening in Genshin Impact.

How To Unlock Gardening In Genshin Impact

Unlike other add-ons in Genshin Impact, the gardening update doesn’t have a quest or require you to do anything in order to unlock the feature. Instead, when you next go to your realm, you will find that Tubby is selling everything you need to make your own garden. As with all things sold by Tubby, though, it will cost you Realm Currency instead of mora, so be sure to keep checking in regularly to claim your accumulated currency.

You should also keep in mind that, like with all furniture, gardening patches will take up load.

  • Tip: As of right now, you can only have 12 plots, and Tubby sells them all.

You may want to clear out a space specifically for gardening spots before you start buying up plots from Tubby. You can then place them using the normal furniture placing system.

How To Plant And Harvest Seeds In Genshin Impact

Once you have your spot cleared, you can buy a gardening plot from Tubby for 300 Realm Currency. There are three different types of plots, and they grow the following plants:

Garden Plot Plants
Orderly Meadow Valberry, Carrot, Mint, Radish, Sweet Flower, Mushroom, Jueyun Chili, Small Lamp Grass
Luxuriant Glebe Glaze Lily, Silk Flower, Qingxin, Cecilia, Windwheel Aster, Naku Weed, Violetgrass
Jade Field Lotus Head, Calla Lily, Sea Ganoderma, Snapdragon, Sea Grass, Horsetail

Once you have your garden plot placed, you can start planting your favorite plants. You can fit four plants into each plot, and the plants can be bought from Tubby for five realm currency each or you can get the Seed Dispensary item from Inazuma. This makes them much cheaper to grow compared to buying them from the shop.

  • Tip: You can cancel out a plant if you accidentally plant it or need to grow another plant.

Each plant will take a set real-world amount of time to grow. So far, they all are set to take around three days to grow. You don’t need to water or check on the plants; simply go pick them up when they are done growing to add them to your inventory. Be sure to make a schedule for when you can pick and plant new seeds to make the most out of the new system.
