In Genshin Impact's new Inazuma Islands, there are several Wards that players have to find and fix. These Wards will help to clear the skies and end the endless storm that has plagued the island. One of the more difficult challenges of this quest chain is to find the missing piece to fix the Ward in the Jakotsu Mine.
Jakotsu Mine is located in the southernmost region of Yashiori Island, which is one of the main three islands of the Inazuma update. This island is constantly engulfed in a massive storm, covered in clouds and rain, and struck constantly by lightning.
This quest to find the Ward is one of the many in the world quest chain called Orobashi's Legacy. It is suggested that players complete this first before doing anything else on the island as the storm is dangerous for players.

When players first enter the Jakotsu Mine area, they will see a massive hole in the ground where the mine has been dug. This is near where one of the many NPCs with quests for the player, Chouji and his treasure, will be found as well. The Ward is all the way at the bottom of the Mine, and it is currently broken and missing a piece.
Looking down into the hole, players will see a collection of Electro-purple glowing pillars that float. In the center of these pillars is a giant protective dome in a glowing blue color, and it can only be broken down by realigning the Electro pillars properly. The first pillar is one closest to Chouji at the top of the hole of the mine. Players can tell that it is the first pillar because the top is C-shaped instead of round.
When Genshin Impact players walk up to an Electro Pillar, they can change its rotation or change the angle of the top of the pillar with the interact key.
- The first pillar needs to face east, to the second pillar which is straight across from it.
- The second pillar's elevation will need to be adjusted once to make it point down at the third pillar.
- The third pillar will not need to be adjusted.
- The fourth pillar should be rotated three times, then its angle adjusted once to be pointing down.
- The fifth pillar will not need to be adjusted.
- The sixth pillar will need to be rotated three times, then pointed across at the seventh pillar.
- The seventh pillar will need to be facing the dome and pointed down at it.
- Players can fire an arrow with Genshin Impact's Amber or other ranged DPS to activate the pillars and see where the beam goes and what needs to be adjusted.
Once players have all the pillars in alignment, hit the first pillar with an attack. Players can use the Electrogranum on the ground to launch themselves back into the air to make returning to the top of the mine faster. A cutscene will play and the dome will be destroyed if the players have the pillars lined up correctly.
After this, the Ward, which was hidden under the dome, will be available to interact with. This will give players the next part of the quest: to find the missing piece of the Ward and getting it working again. Elemental Sight will lead players into a cave to the north on the floor of the mine. Follow the path until an Electro-purple colored dome is found.
Kill the enemies around the dome, then interreact with the Electrogranum near the dome to walk through it. Interact with the center glowing purple ward, and the dome will disappear, leaving a floating purple gem-like Ward piece in the air. Climb up some of the rocks and float by the Ward piece to pick it up.
Head back to the broken Ward and use Elemental Sight to see that the second Ward piece is to the west. Head straight west, climbing up the natural rock "stairway" and pick up the Naku Weed on the way by.
There will be a second underground mine area here, and players will need to look for the next Electro-colored dome. If players look up and a little to the right, they should see the second dome above them on a jutting rock formation. Use the Electrogranum down below to launch up to the second dome and slide through the barrier, grabbing the second Ward piece. It will look like a small purple stone on the ground.
After that, players can return to the broken Ward and insert the two Ward pieces, making it whole again. Players can then return to Kaji to get the next part of the quest chain and finish clearing up the storm in Inazuma.
