Mihoyo's updates to Genshin Impact continue its trend of new content drops every four to six weeks, and its recent one was a doozy. Version 2.0 welcomed Travelers to Inazuma, and now, the developer will continue upon that journey with 2.1, hosting a special live stream this Friday, August 20, at 6am PDT.
As usual, Mihoyo has been a bit secretive as to just what's around the corner, but we do know a little bit about what's coming to Teyvat for the rest of 2021. It's expected that 2.1's big update will launch on October 13, and with it will come with Horizon's leading lady, Aloy. Her introduction to the game will grant you the Cryo-user for free on PS4 and PS5, while folks who play on PC and mobile will wait until November 24 when the game introduces version 2.2.

If you can't jump in on either Sony console, there will still surely be enough adventure ahead for you. Mihoyo's live streams like this typically share event plans, announcements for at least two banner characters, and a little preview of what story beats you can expect to see unfold.
