Glitchpunk: How to Get the RPG Launcher | Game Rant

Glitchpunk is a new chaotic sci-fi adventure that wears its Grand Theft Auto 2 inspiration on its sleeve. Set in a Cyberpunk-themed dystopian future, players take control of a “glitched” android with free will.

The indie title from developer Dark Lord, and Lord of the Rings: Gollum publisher Daedalic Entertainment, is played from a top-down view. The main story sees the android protagonist take on various contracts from different gangs. If the Reaper contract “404” is started, players will be asked to get the RPG Launcher. The game shows players where to get it, but not how.

There is also a Rocket Launcher that should be bought halfway through the mission to ensure players have enough ammo to complete the contract. It’s also great to know for those wanting to cause as much Grand Theft Auto-esque mayhem as they can.

As an early access game, Glitchpunk can be a little confusing at times. When looking for this weapon to continue with the “404” contract for the Reapers, players should follow the red marker. This will take them to a container, but there is no prompt to open it.

To open the container and get the RPG Launcher in Glitchpunk, players will need to hit it. This may sound a little dangerous, with it containing a very dangerous weapon and all, but it won’t harm players. It can be shot, but it’s best to save ammo and switch to those powerful android fists. Press CTRL (RB/R1 if using a controller) to cycle through held weapons. Make sure to open the other container beside the RPG Launcher to pick up more ammo for it.

Once players get the RPG Launcher, they will have to travel to various places on the isometric action title's map to destroy modules. The mission is a little more difficult than it sounds, as there is a timer counting down. It doesn’t seem like a lot of time, but once a module has been destroyed, thirty seconds will be added to the clock to help players reach all of the objectives.

However, once these modules are destroyed, another batch will need to be taken care of. They are also on a timer, and players will run out of ammo before they can destroy them all. While getting rid of the module at Dopamine Mall (found southeast of the blue Ordo contract payphone), a Rocket Launcher can be bought. It is located on the map and minimap by its (unsurprisingly) Rocket Launcher-shaped symbol.

It’s smart to save in Glitchpunk before starting a new contract, as the indie title doesn’t have an autosave system yet. Dying will take guns and items from players, who then have to spend their hard-earned cash on replacing them.

Glitchpunk is out now on early access for PC.
