Latest GTA Online Update Adds Chaotic Go-Kart Mode and New Sports Car

Frequenters of Grand Theft Auto Online got to dive into an all-new add-on last month, with Rockstar dropping the Los Santos Tuners update and adding new social spaces and underground races. However, it seems the studio isn't done implementing fun new content into the game, announcing through its latest weekly update that it's added a new mode for players to enjoy.

Titled Kart Krash: Full Auto, the fresh game type sees players engage in destructive go-kart battles, going head to head in an effort to be the last one standing. The mode can be played solo or in a team and features weapon-mounted go-karts that can be buffed through power-ups found around the map. To celebrate its arrival, anyone who partakes in Kart Krash: Full Auto this week can earn double GTA$ and RP.

The update debuts a brand new vehicle as well, with the Pfister Growler making its way to GTA Online. The luxury sports car can be found over on the Legendary Motorsport in-game website right now. Those wanting to take it for a spin before dropping their hard-earned cash on it can head over to the test track, where it'll feature alongside the Vulcar Warrener HKR and the yet-to-be-released Karin Sultan RS.

As always for Rockstar's weekly updates, there's also a host of bonus rewards to be claimed during the next seven days. This week's lineup includes double GTA$ and RP for returning cars on the Exotic Exports list and robbing convenience stores, so players looking to make some extra cash or bump up their level should focus their efforts there. Meanwhile, anyone who places in the top 5 of an LS Car Meet Series race this week will snag themselves a bonus reward, with Rockstar giving them the Vapid Dominator GTT muscle car. In fitting with the newly added mode, players can also add the Dinka Veto Modern go-kart to their garage by landing on the vehicle spot of the Diamond Casino and Resort's Lucky Wheel.

In terms of discounts, there are a few notable reductions throughout the week, including 30% of the Pegassi Toreador, the Kosatka Submarine, the Dinka Veta Classic, and the Sea Sparrow. Amazon Prime members who have their Rockstar Games Social Club accounts linked will also be able to get 100k in GTA$ and discounts on the Benefactor BR8 and Coquette Blackfin. Alongside the addition of new GTA Online content, there's a lot going on in the wider world of Grand Theft Auto right now, from GTA RP players masquerading as The Undertaker to recent rumors regarding remasters of the franchise's most iconic games.

Grand Theft Auto Online is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions currently in development.
