Sega and RGG Studio have revealed the eight games that will be playable on Lost Judgment's in-game Master System.
The launch of Lost Judgment is fast approaching with everything looking in place for its scheduled release date of September 24, 2021. Lost Judgment is the sequel to Yakuza spinoff Judgment and marks a significant first for the series as a whole. It will be the first game set in the Yakuza universe to get a simultaneous worldwide launch, something the team behind the game has worked tirelessly to make happen.
As for what to expect from the game itself, as is becoming commonplace with Sega titles, there will be a number of neat hat-tips to the company throughout. Perhaps most notably a playable Sega Master System. The iconic console can be found in Takayuki Yagami's office. There was a pinball machine in its place in Judgment and an OutRun arcade machine there in the remastered version.

Sega and RGG Studio has previously only offered up a glimpse of what the Master System has to offer via its initial reveal during a gameplay demonstration. Before now only two of its games were shown off, Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Penguin Land. Turns out the Master System will actually feature eight playabale games. Alex Kidd is actually having quite the year in 2021. Not only is Sega's original mascot being revived in Lost Judgment, but Miracle World was also remastered and released on all major consoles earlier this year. The other seven games are a little more obscure but will definitely serve up a healthy dose of nostalgia for any of you who may have owned a Master System.
Lost Judgment isn't the only Sega game celebrating the company by crossing over with other games this year. Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania continues to add more characters to its roster outside of the usual band of recognizable monkeys. Sonic and Tails officially joined in on the fun earlier this month, and even Yakuza's Kiryu Kazima was revealed to be a playabale character this week.
